How to stay in touch with your clients after the sale

How’s the start of the new year for you? Hope your business is doing great! I’m sure you’ve made a lot of sales last year. But the end of your sale shouldn’t be the end of your relationship with your clients. Are you wondering how you can sustain your relationship with your previous clients?

Here are some ways on how you can stay in touch with your clients after the sale:

1. Send a quick survey to your real estate clients.

Give your clients a quick-five question survey to ask them for feedback on how the sale went. Inquire if they were satisfied with your service. Send them this a few weeks after they have moved into their new home. This is to make sure that they have already settled down in their new home and your survey wouldn’t be another chore during a very busy transition for them. Don’t forget to include a personalized note on the survey to congratulate them on their new home!

2. Greet them on special occasions.

Send your past clients greeting cards on special occasions. Birthdays are a great occasion to get in touch with them. You can also do this during their one-year anniversary in their home. Congratulate them and celebrate their milestone by giving them a small gift for their home. Be creative especially during common holidays so you will stand out from other businesses.

3. Be a real estate resource.

If you position yourself as someone who is credible and knowledgeable when it comes to real estate, people will go to you when they have any questions about the industry. Make sure to let your clients know that you can be their resource person when it comes to real estate. Start by providing your clients a list of reliable workers for their homes like landscaping businesses, plumbers, electricians, roofers, and more.

4. Send out newsletters.

Another way to keep yourself visible to your past clients is by sending out newsletters. Make sure that the newsletters will be relevant to your clients and won’t add to their spam emails. You can let them know about other home sales in their neighborhood, the latest news about real estate, information about mortgage rates, and other developments in their area that could affect their property value. This will also help position yourself as a credible realtor.
